Heaton Park in Manchester

Its a massive park and well worth a trip. Take your bikes and have a good ride round, or go and play in the great play area!

Find it easily enough if you know where the Sainsburys is by the M60.

In the distance is Beetham Tower in Manchester -

As well as mooching about, eating ice cream and sitting in the shade of the lovely trees Heaton Park boasts a list of great things to do.
They've got a boating lake - £8.50 for 45 minutes when we went July 06.

Animal centre with quite a few different animals - pigs, goats, ducks, funky chicken, alpacas, rabbits.
There's a cafe here and plenty of ice cream vans about.

There's supposed to be a new cafe at the lake but it wasn't open when we went.

You can also play pitch and putt at Heaton park as well as real golf!
