Manchester Markets and Car boots
There are loads of markets and car boots in and around Manchester. You're
best checking the dates and times for car boots but there are markets
on every week.
Farmers Markets
The market is held the weekend (Friday and Saturday) of the second and
fourth Saturdays of each month. It is open between 8.30am and 6pm.
They sell fresh vegetables such as carrots dug from the soil the night
before, meats (ostrich, wild boar, pork, venison, lamb, beef, hams), sausages,
turkey, chicken, fish (smoked salmon, trout and kippers), jams and honey,
farm baked cakes and pies, farmhouse chocolates, a vast range of cheeses
(including goat's cheese), butter and dairy products, free range eggs,
herbs and spices, marinated olives, sun dried tomatoes, and fine English
wines and liqueurs.
Location
The market is on the fountain side of Piccadilly Gardens, next to the
statue of Queen Victoria, in Manchester city centre.

Manchester European Christmas Market
Albert Square, 10am-9pm
Manchester Traditional German Christmas Market
St Ann's Square, 10am-8pm
Traditional wooden chalets and glittering stalls will be bursting with
an amazing array of gifts, luxury goods and delicious continental specialities.
You'll find handcrafted wooden toys, beaded cushions and scarves, charming
Christmas decorations, decorative pottery and ceramics, exquisite Belgian
chocolates and tempting truffles, mouth-watering French and Dutch cheeses
and Christmas trees, plants and bulbs from Holland.
Take a break from shopping or meet your friends after work and enjoy
one of the many alfresco snacks on offer including continental sausages,
German beer, crepes, fresh fruit kebabs dipped in chocolate, warming Gluhwein
and hot chocolate laced with brandy.

Manchester Craft and Gifts Market
25 November until 18 December Albert Square
Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the European Market in Albert Square
will be joined by the Manchester Craft and Gifts Market who will be selling
a range of interesting hand-crafted gifts. There will also be a selection
of speciality, fine food producers to tempt you with wonderfully delicious
regional and seasonal foods.
New Smithfield Wholesale Market
The market is held Monday to Friday, 3am to 1pm, for fruit and vegetables (also
open Saturdays from July to September).
Fish and poultry can also be purchased Monday to Saturday, 3am to 12noon, all
year round |
Gorton Market at the District Centre on Cross Lane in Gorton
The outdoor Retail Market is open Tuesday and Friday between 9am
and 4.30pm, and Saturday between 9am and 5pm.
The Flea Market, with
second hand goods, is open on Mondays between 9am and 4pm.
The Food
Hall is open Monday to Saturday between 9am and 5pm, but is closed
on Wednesdays.

New Smithfield Market - Sunday
Opening Times
The event takes place every Sunday with the opening hours for traders being 6am
until 2pm, and the opening hours for customers being 7am until 2pm
bric-a-brac, shoes and trainers, second-hand furniture, household products, craft
stalls, pots and pans, garden plants, pet products, fresh meat, books, videos
and CDs, fresh fruit and vegetables. There are also cafes and toilets on site. |
Harpurhey market
The General Market is open Tuesdays and Fridays between 9am and 4.30pm,
and Saturdays between 9am and 5pm.
The Market Hall is open Mondays
to Saturdays between 9am and 5pm, with half-day on Wednesdays.The
Second Hand Market is open on Thursdays
between 9am and 4pm.
Harpurhey Market can be located on Church Lane, off Rochdale Road,
in Harpurhey (Near the ASDA)

The General Market is open on Wednesdays and Fridays between 9am
and 4.30pm, and Saturdays between 9am and 5pm.
The Second Hand Market
is open on Tuesday between 9am and 4pm. If you've ever needed a remote
control then this is the place to go and have a look for a replacement!
Longsight market can be found on the corner of Dickenson Road and
St John's Road in Longsight. This is very near the crossroads
where the Asda is.

The General Market is open on Tuesday and Friday between 9am and
4.30pm, and Saturday between 9am and 5pm.
The Food Hall is open Monday
to Saturday from 9am to 5pm, with half-day on Wednesday.
The Second Hand Market is open on Monday
between 9am and 4pm.
You can find the market in Wythenshawe Town Centre, off Poundswick
Lane, in Wythenshawe.
